Meet Monica


Nice to meet you!

I am the founder of Pilates Kollektive and Core Studio in Toronto and have been teaching Pilates for 20 years. I am trained in classical, contemporary, and rehabilitative pilates through Power Pilates, Stott Pilates, BASI, and other. 


In 2015 I became a Teacher Trainer for the leader in classical education, Power Pilates, and in 2020 launched the Core Method, a teacher trainer program that bridges classical, contemporary and rehabilitative pilates. I love passing on my knowledge and experience to new teachers.  

I have a special interest in rehabilitative exercise and corrective exercise therapy, and feel passionate about helping people with injuries and chronic conditions gain strength and mobility that they can move and feel better, and resume the activities that makes them happy. 

A great Saturday afternoon is hiking the trails of Caledon, followed by a latte and geeking out on movement anatomy and archival Pilates material.  My favourite Pilates exercise is probably Short Spine Massage and my least favourite is Leg Pull Back.
