Originally from Norway, Monica Plewes is the owner of the Pilates Kollektive in Caledon, founder of CORE Studio in Toronto, and a Teacher Trainer for Power Pilates in Canada. She has been teaching Pilates since 2001, and was first trained by Stott Pilates, before attending BASI’s bridge program and taking her classical training through Power Pilates. Monica offers classical teacher training programs through Power Pilates and offers continuing education workshops in Canada and internationally.
Monica started her fitness journey in fitness 30 years ago. Since then, she has attended multiple conferences, teacher trainings, and continuing education workshops. Her other trainings include: personal trainer, TRX, barre, yoga, spinning, pre-and postnatal fitness, and more. Monica especially enjoys geeking out on anatomy and archival Pilates material. Her most favourite Pilates exercise is Short Spine Massage.
