Reformer Teacher Training

Reformer 1 introduces you to the components of the Reformer and its settings and adjustments, safety considerations and precautions. You will learn the proper alignment of the fundamentals Reformer exercises and how to modify them for different fitness levels. You will know how to effectively guide clients through exercises by developing clear verbal cues and teaching techniques. We will discuss assessing clients' postural imbalances and creating workouts tailored to their needs. You will learn anatomy and biomechanics and how it relates to Pilates movements. Upon completing a Reformer Level 1 Teacher Training, you should have the knowledge and skills to lead Reformer-based Pilates classes for clients of various fitness levels and backgrounds.

Upon successfully completing Reformer 1, you will receive the Fundamental Reformer Certificate.

Pre-requisite:

Mat 1 and attendance in 10 reformer classes.

 

Course Details: 

  • Two 7-hour in-person training days

  • 4 hours of online lectures (OnDemand)

  • Practical assessment 

  • Written assessment

Additional Requirements:

  • 10 hours of practice teaching

  • 10 hours of self study

  • 5 hours of observation
